Integrative Tools Tailored to You

In addition to my core therapies — CBT, CFT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Couples Therapy — I also draw from a range of other evidence-based approaches to ensure therapy is tailored to your specific needs and goals.

These techniques can be integrated into our work together or used independently, depending on what best supports your journey.

Behavioural Activation
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
Cognitive Therapy (CT)

Behavioural Activation

Behavioural Activation is a practical, structured approach often used to treat depression. It focuses on helping you re-engage with meaningful activities that promote enjoyment, achievement, and connection.

By increasing these positive experiences and reducing avoidance behaviours, we can lift mood and reduce emotional numbness or fatigue.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

  • ERP is a powerful intervention particularly effective for:

    • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
    • Social anxiety
    • Health anxiety
    • Emetophobia (vomit phobia)
    • Agoraphobia
    • Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)

This approach involves gently confronting feared thoughts, objects, or situations in a safe and supported way — helping you reduce anxiety over time and regain control over your life.

Cognitive Therapy (CT)

Cognitive Therapy is often delivered within CBT and focuses on identifying and challenging distorted or unhelpful thinking patterns that influence your emotions and behaviours.

You’ll learn how to reframe negative beliefs and develop more balanced, realistic ways of thinking. This helps reduce emotional distress and supports healthier behavioural choices.

Note: This approach is often integrated within CBT sessions but may also be used as a standalone method where appropriate.

A Flexible, Client-Led Approach

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. I work integratively — meaning I draw from multiple modalities based on your preferences, presentation, and progress.

Together, we’ll find an approach that feels right for you and adjust it as your needs evolve.
